Happy New Year to Woking GG
Welcome back Woking members to a New Year, we hope you enjoyed the Christmas break. We are now back in action!! Tonight we started the year in the allotments, in was a fresh evening for it but we soon got warmed up! We also welcomed a new member to the group - A big hello and welcome to James McCloud!
We had a nice gentle jog to the allotments where we were given our task of the evening. We had a nice task of just turning over a community plot which needed a little TLC. We soon got to work and we zoomed through the allotment, with a few potatoes found and the soil now turned over we had the job done quickly. Team work makes the dream work.
We then headed for the dreaded hill for some Fartlek training. A gentle run down with an easy/sprint using the lamp posts for the way up. WIth the hill completed a couple of times and everyone working up a sweat and we were done (thank god), I could feel the pounds put on over the Christmas Season!
Next Week
We are heading to the RSPCA to help out in the staples. Remember to meet us there and not in Woking leisure Center.
