Caerphilly does it
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Saturday, 9th of April 2022
For my second mission of the day, I helped Mrs D by collecting some groceries for her from two separate locations.
After collecting Mrs D's shopping list and money, I headed to the first location: a nearby cheesemongers. The goats cheese I collected from here was obviously special as one of the servers had to the basement to prepare it for me. This allowed plenty of time for me to cajole some slivers of Caerphilly cheese (the cheese of my hometown) from the remaining cheesemonger. Definitely a bonus part of the mission, and I can recommend the Gorwydd Caerphilly over the Duckett's aged Caerphilly 😋).
For the second (and final) pickup, I returned to Mrs D's via Planet Organic. This second pickup did not involve any free cheese (although the staff were equally nice), and so I have no comments of personal interest to add.
Altogether, Mrs D's shopping took less than 40 mins to complete, and she was very grateful for the assistance.
