Busy Bee(s)
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.
- Sunday, 9th of September 2018
Here's what Mrs C of S2 had to say about the mission:
Spoke to Mrs C's daughter who wanted to thank the volunteers for the good work they did in her mum's garden. Well done!
Bee and I arrived at the mission and after a slight bit of confusion regarding which door to knock on, we were set a task to complete. The garden needing mowing (and strimming on the tall edges) and two flowerbeds needed to be de-weeded.
We got straight to work with myself pulling out the unwanted plants from the flowerbed while Bee jumped on the lawnmower and strimmer. We made relatively quick work of the job and left the garden a lot tidier, with space in the beds for planting non-weedy flowers. We forgot to get after photos...
