Burke And Hare Revisited
3 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Redbridge.

On arrival we noted that proper bike stands have been put in at the church which is good because when it had been previously suggested they said they didn't think it would be possible. There was a last minute change of plan as the task owner gave us the choice of tasks. AJ and Linda were there first and decided to go for clearing out a grave top so that gravel could be put in instead. AJ thought that meant weeding out the grave while Linda thought it meant digging out the earth from the grave surround the idea of which gave AJ the collywobbles. When Sharon arrived (sporting her new black GG T-shirt) we settled on removing half the earth, which would at least help the task owner a bit. On discovering that there was a concrete base a few inches down AJ felt a little better knowing we weren't going to uncover any remains. There was some banter about grave diggers and "Carrie" moments but to show we do have respect for the deceased the grave was left very tidy and we saved the bulbs that had been in there for future planting.
