Better lait than never
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Tuesday, 5th of May 2020
Today a GoodGym runner used their cycle to help an older person in the community.
Mr A isn't able to get out to do his shopping at the moment, so GoodGym were asked if they could lend a hand this week. I signed up, and got the pleasure of meeting Mr A (while upholding social distancing advice) and his gorgeous dog, Mr P.
Mr A gave me his shopping list (including milk and ingredients for some homemade dog food), and off I went! After realising I'd forgotten the cash, popping back, then hitting up the shops Mr A wanted me to go to, I managed to bring everything back.
While waiting for my return, Mr A had a brainwave and put an old chair he's been planning to get rid of in the front garden, and watched the world go by with Mr P loyally by his side. On dropping off the haul, I had a nice chat with Mr's A and P before heading on my way.
