HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Task Force member and all round legend James who was on his 300th good deed! Please give him a massive load of cheers!
After the now customary cloaking ceremony and photo we headed through the warmth of Sheffield train station and up the Steel city steps on route to meet Helen from Norfolk Park Walled Gardens at the top of the park where she gave us a brief of the project, it's links to Heeley City Farm and the task for the eve.
The nights task involved us bagging up as many tonne bags of dried leaves as possible which are going to be stored long term to compost down into material for high quality peat free organic compost to be used in the garden in the future.
We got straight to it, grabbing bags, leaves and rakes and before we knew it we had bagged up 10 big bags of the lovely rustlers!
Once we had brought all the bags back into the walled garden and said our thanks and goodbyes to Helen we headed back down the Steel City Steps and used the Ampitheatre as our fitness playground to get three good rounds of step ups in with three difficulty options:
- Regular step up on your choice of step height
- Regular step up plus a squat down
- Box Jumps on the steps
After three rounds the legs were feeling it and we headed back through the station and back to the Showroom for some food and drinks to finish the evening off.
Until next time, happy running! :)
