Awaiting a not so magic carpet...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Friday, 30th of July 2021
Ms J is waiting for a new carpet for her bedroom to arrive from Belgium, and as a result has unfortunately had to spend the past week sleeping in her bed in her living room. Without wanting to veer too far into potentially politically dangerous territory, we did discuss at some length where and why her much awaited Belgium carpet may currently be held up (Europe, the Channel, Dover were our 3 options for discussion) and her consequent, and understandable, frustrations over the unexpected wait...my quip about it being a shame it wasn't a flying carpet didn't help the situation.
On the back of this I really am hoping that upon my next visit, Ms J, the carpet and her bed have all relocated to their rightful place in the bedroom (for which I offered GoodGym's help if any furniture needed shifting). After that somewhat lengthy exchange on the doorstep, the visit to the world's politest supermarket today was something of a breeze.
