Are you (litter)picking a fight? No, we're too busy getting trollied!
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Lewisham.

On a warm summer morning, four keen GoodGym runners arrived at the Woodpecker Community Centre in Lewisham ready to join a group of local volunteers for a community litter pick.
The organisation was outstanding, with hi-vis vests, bin bags, bin bag holders and litter picking sticks provided for every volunteer. Once these were distributed we all headed off in different directions and set to work cleaning up the local area around the community centre. We even got several thank yous shouted at us from passers by!
After an hour of hard work the area looked much tidier, and the pile of full rubbish bags that we had built up was pretty impressive. And what was even more impressive was Jacqueline's innovation to use an abandoned shopping trolley to support the weight of her fully loaded bin bag while she worked! Genius!
These litter picks happen every month, and always start outside the Woodpecker Community Centre, so if anyone fancies getting their gloves on and helping out in the future I'm sure they would really appreciate the help!

What a great report Jenny! Jacqueline is full of good ideas (did she find any treasure?).
Thanks Adele :D It was a great mission, really enjoyed it! Not sure about treasure... but we certainly found a LOT of litter!
