Another Humbling Mission To Help A Vulnerable Person With His Food Shopping
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Friday, 7th of August 2020
Doing these Mission's is quite upsetting and incredibly humbling when you don't know what you are going to find. L was attacked by three men and now has a permanent injury, which will be with him for the rest of his life. It was therefore great to see someone who was so grateful for help with his shopping. As someone said, "I can't do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good I can do".

Hey Matthew - hang in there man. You're right getting out there and doing good can be the most amazing thing but it can be the hardest thing as well. Humbling is most definitely the word. As I often say, small actions from GoodGymers can make a massive difference to someone
I second everything Alex has said so well above. It's not easy but you make such a difference. The referrer from this task Paula has asked me to share this feedback with you - 'Many thanks to Good Gym but particularly Matthew for helping with the shopping task for L!'
I third it! I reckon the human contact, the chat on the doorstep, matters just as much as the task itself.
