On this Friday afternoon the vaccine clinic was mostly giving flu vaccine to children, via a nasal spray rather than a jab. To help put the children at ease, the volunteers were provided with a variety of puppets, so at the start of my shift Florence Flamingo (imagine Rod Hull's Emu) helped me to wipe down the chairs, then after my break I was at the door greeting all those arriving with the help of Colin the Caterpillar. A fun and worthwhile afternoon.
