Almost shed a buried
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Sunday, 16th of June 2019
Here's what Mr G of L16 had to say about the mission:
The person who referred this task got in touch: "Well done, such an amazing job by some very lovely people!"
On an overcast late Sunday afternoon, Pauline and Mat went to the most delightful couple's house and sorted out a patch of land, which had grown over with brambles and other weeds. We cleared the whole area and collected a full green recycling bin of vegetation plus another eight bags of rubbish. It is so heartening to be able to help people in their hour of need. This couple have a lovely garden but can no longer care for it. We even managed to get rid of some of the old pots and part of a shed, which we skilfully (of course) managed to avoid falling on us, but there is more work to do at this couple's house so we are most likely to be back. And the rain god's were kind to us as it did not rain until right at the end of the task, so thanks to Dennis the rain god for that.
