We had another fabulous evening down at the Wishing Well Allotment.
6 lovely volunteers donned their gardening gloves and set to tending to the allotment. The weather was kind, the company was great and it was just a lovely evening.
Everyone put in lots of effort in tending to the allotment. We pulled up the Chard (which we probably won't bother to plant again but it looks pretty!), planted more carrots, sprouts and cabbage. The potatoes are flourishing and it's great to see them being used in the community kitchen. Strawberries are also beginning to grow but definitely aren't ripe just yet. Let's hope we can beat the birds to them!
Lots of weeding, raking and pruning done and we also put down some more bark in the area near the bench.
It's looking lovely, even if we do say so ourselves!!
Great efforts by Karen, Nigel, Maurice, Claire & Emily!
WELL DONE!! ;-)
