7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Elizabeth House Food Hub in Islington.

7 busy Goodgym folks walked, pedalled and jogged to Elizabeth House Foodbank tonight for our weekly donation sorting task. The crew do an amazing job of collecting surplus food from local businesses and community donations- all these items will be distributed to almost 100 households next week.
After our initial introduction last week, our team got straight to work with collating the food items into appropriate locations- effectively making the hall into a temporary supermarket for the volunteers. We asked the important questions, such as: "Does tinned sweetcorn go in the veg section or the can section?". Also, someone rigged up a sound system this week, and there were solid soul classics playing throughout the evening- a pretty flawless playlist!
Within 45 minutes, we transformed the space (with the help of the regular Elizabeth House volunteers too) ready for dispatch day tomorrow.
Excellent work everyone. See you next week!
