Achilles runners on a roll (a vegan sausage roll)
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Islington.

A brilliant turn out today at the weekly Achilles International running session for visually impaired runners & guides - VI runners Tom, Andrew, Chris and Mark were assisted by Achilles volunteers Edyta, Eddie, Steve & H and GoodGymmers Michelle, Harvey, Paul, new guide Jonathan & myself.
Tom was guided by Jonathan & Paul on his usual 10k, with a very speedy sprint finish. Congrats to Jonathan for a great first session guiding!
Otherwise we split up into pairs, with Harvey guiding Andrew, Michelle guiding Mark and me guiding Chris. I'm sure everyone had as great a natter along the way as I did with Chris (who's currently preparing for this year's Boston Marathon).
H then treated us all to her homemade vegan sausage rolls at the end of the run - a truly delicious surprise. She also sent word of a 24 hour relay race happening in June that team Achilles will be entering, so I suppose we'll have to keep the training up each Thursday! 💪
