We pootled along to one of our favourite venues - the Quaker Burial Ground in Widcombe - to give the garden some TLC.
We've been here a few times earlier in the year, and it was lovely to see some of the bits we've already worked on in full bloom.
Today we handled a few bits of light maintenance, which was perfect for a sunny summer's evening. Our tasks, in no particular order:
- Jer (height advantage) climbed a tree to refill a bird feeder
- Meyrick (power* tools!) did some powered lawn edging
- Aaron (leave me alone) collected up some leaves from some of the memorial stones, and then gave them a sweep (cf: report title) to properly spruce them up
- Max and Jane (attention to small detail) harvested some wild flowers and set about collecting up their seeds for future use.
- Emily and Jer (bouldering team) climbed up the perimeter wall to trim the top of the neighbour's ivy
- Meyrick and Aaron (ball, but no bat) finished up with a game of imaginary cricket, or something...
*N.B. It was a very small battery-powered lawn trimmer, nothing like a chainsaw or anything like that, which we definitely don't do at GoodGym!
