A weighty business
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.

Today I helped Ms L by completing a shop for her during my lunch hour. Her current level of mobility means that she's unable to carry heavy items from the shop to her home.
Despite doing this task most weeks, there's always something new to surprise me. Today, it was Loose Veg. It's not that I haven't previously picked up some loose vegetables for Ms L before. However, the last time was definitely a learning curve in how to use the self service scales.
This time, I went in supremely confident and ready to test out my weighing skills. Unfortunately, the self service machine did not oblige; the scales on my machine being broken. After trying (& failing) to fix them, the shop assistant hopped me over to an adjacent machine. It turned out that those scales were broken too 🤷🏼♀️ Having, by this point, attracted several shop assistants to help out (who obviously placed great weight on the scales actually working), I was pleased to find that the third machine was the charm, and I could finally buy my veg and go 😎
Shopping completed, I returned Ms L's shopping, receipts, and change to her before heading back to work.
