A Tutti Frutti shop
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Thursday, 16th of April 2020
Arriving at Mr. S's place I was told to knock hard on his door as his bell isn't working. After about 5 individual long knocks and shouting his name through the letter box, Mr. S appeared. I introduced myself to him and he gave me a plastic bag with two £5 notes and told me what he wanted:
- Apples
- Pears
- Papaya
- Large Oranges
That was it. Just a fruity shopping list and luckily, the shops were closeby... But it was a big Sainsbury's, so that means the queues are extra long and they were. It took me 15 minutes to get in. Yet, once in I was out within 3 minutes as it wasn't hard to obtain all these fruits... Apart from papaya.
On the way back, I decided to check out a few off licenses to find any papaya on the off chance, but no luck there. Yet, arriving back with 3 out of the 4 fruits, Mr. S was very pleased and extra satisfied that it cost less than £4. I wished him well and to stay safe and off I went!
