A Tour De Forks
12 GoodGymers made their way 7km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.
- Monday, 9th of December 2013
- Led by Laura Williams
12 people ran 7k, cleared an allotment plot and forked over the earth, and ran a 4 x 400m interval session
A lean and mean group of a dozen or so Good Gymers met to resolve unfinished business at the Rectory Road Allotments.
We took a steady pace up through London Fields as Mark pointed out the interval markers that would guide us home on our return; 20 minutes flashed past in no time.
"Implements of Desctruction"
There were just two allotments left to clear, so with the finishing line in sight we tooled up with gloves, forks, hoes and other implements of destruction. Lots of bags were filled and rubble collected.
"Lightning Pace"
The run back involved 4x400m intervals; the cold air makes it fresh on the airways, but everyone set out a lightning pace and held their form brilliantly.
Good luck to the Hackney crew, we've set a benchmark we hope you can smash!
