A short update this week!
As sheilding comes to a close and services start to return to normal, Mrs J finally wanted to tackle her ever-growing pile of post; after all, what good is sitting on a worry when there's not much you can do about it in the middle of the pandemic.
Visually imparied, Mrs J relies on family, friends and the good-will of neighbours to help keep her updated with post. After four months, the post box was rather full, and to onlooking passser-bys, my masked face, lime green gloves and improvised post grabber (in the form of a few sticks from the garden) must have been an intresting sight; but hey, in the new normal, anything goes!
Another beautiful day meant we were able to get through the post fairly efficently. Mrs J sat on her stairs inside, and I out on the garden path. There were lots of lovely support letters from community groups (including Oxford Hub), Borris' letter from March (which feels like an eternity ago), a wad of takeaway menus, and a few important letters that we put away for safe keeping.
Paperwork done, we enjoyed catchup and chocolate bar before parting ways. Hopefully, I will soon be able to start re-walking Mrs J's little dog when working hours become more regular, but for now, I look forward to seeing Mrs J for our next task soon!
P.S - Forgetting to take any pictures this time, I have uploaded the chocolate bar quiz from some of our lockdown zoom quizzes for fun!
