A tale of a time at Children North East
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the Children North East Nearly New Sale in Newcastle.

In perhaps the cutest task of all GoodGym Community Missions, today Liz and I went along to Children North East in the west of the city to help prepare for their Baby and Child Nearly New Sale. If you know any expectant (grand)parents or friends with young children, point them in the direction of Grand Hotel Gosforth Park on Saturday from 10am as they've got an amazing selection of items and they'll definitely get lots of bang for their book!
Our main task was sorting through the donated books into age categories for the under 5s, under 11s, and teenagers. We got to have a flick through some lovely picture books and children's novels, which served as a trip down memory lane and I had to try my hardest to prose myself away from the Jacqueline Wilson.
We also had to sort through the books and find those in the same series to bundle together, which was easier read than done as it fiction-ed as a good memory game and tested our baby-bilities ("I'm sure I've seen another Enid Blyton somewhere...")
We then moved on to sorting through dreamy baby bedding, blankets and towels.
Finally, we had a little photoshoot outside with Pauline where we hopefully struck a good prose or two!
Thanks to the lovely Carol, Catrina, Jamie and Pauline for making us feel so welcome and for being so interested in GoodGym - we loved it and hope to be book soon!
I think after the number of Dad jokes I've made in this report I should probably get myself down to the sale...
