A Smashing Job 🔨
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.
- Saturday, 24th of July 2021
Having previously been to Mr and Mrs A a few weeks ago and unable to complete the task required (https://www.goodgym.org/reports/gardening-for-mr-a), I was keen to come back with reinforcements to rip down their dilapidated old shed. We later found out it's been there nearly as long as they have in this house - about 60 years!
Falling apart though it was, it was still good hard work to get down. Sides and supports removed, we toppled it over. The hardest part was removing the still firmly attached roof felting, that Mr A had done a great job on so many years ago.
Eventually it was done and we transferred everything onto the drive to be removed. Mr and Mrs A were ever so grateful and kept commenting what a smashing job we'd done.
