A s-trimendously tidy result!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Thursday, 15th of August 2019
Here's what Ms E of SE13 had to say about the mission:
Mrs E said thank you so much for the help in her garden. Her neighbours have even been commenting on the difference. She said it was very uplifting to have the runners come to help, they were making jokes and working together. Thank you both!
Linda and Vic were a bit camera shy for this mission as they concentrated on achieving a good before-and-after effect tidying Elizabeth’s front garden.
After untangling and adjusting the strimmer wire, they got to work cutting the grass and removing weeds. There was plenty of time to rake up rubbish and tie back a couple of overhanging shrubs, all the while chatting to Elizabeth who declared herself delighted with the result – a couple of her neighbours stopped to admire it too!
Clearly someone who takes great pride in looking after her flowering borders, pot plants and potato patch, she can now enjoy her garden even more.
