A rolling mower gathers much moss!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Sunday, 25th of August 2019
We definitely needed our sunscreen on for this mission in the late summer sunshine. Our task was to mow the front and back lawns for an elderly lady, to allow her to be able to use and enjoy her garden a bit more.
Ruth and I made short work of mowing and weeding the front lawn, and moved onto the back thinking this was going to be a very short mission indeed, but the back lawn turned out to be so full of moss that it jammed up the lawnmower, meaning we had to stop every few feet to unclog it. No amount of moss can stop Goodgym however, and we soon defeated it with a team effort of strimming first and mowing second.
90 minutes and one VERY FULL green bin of mown grass later, we were finished and on our way, leaving Mrs D to enjoy the last of the bank holiday weekend in her garden.
