A quickie (task) in the dark 😉
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Friday, 13th of December 2019
Sam ran 4.5km from his home to the mission and arrived five minutes early. Miss C's friend Alenthia noticed him and came rushing out to ask if he could start the task straight away with her as she wanted to rush off as soon as possible. Although, Sam knew the GoodGym rules about waiting for the second helper, Miss Alenthia insistence put him under her command.
Wandering into the flat and with the electrics out, the next thing Sam knew was he suddenly found himself in a dark bedroom with Alenthia. Alenthia turned her dimly lit torch on and with that, there was only one thing they had on their minds... to dismantle and move Miss C's bed into the living room, of course. They dismantled the bed within minutes. With a lot of shifting and squeezing, they managed to put the remains of that bed in the living room. As expected, there was a bit of mess (lost treasures) under the bed that Alenthia cleared up with a sweep. Safe to say, Miss C's bedroom is ready for her hospital bed. There's nothing like an 'in and out within 5 minutes' task.
As Sam left the flat, he noticed Emma locking up her bike. Sam explained the situation and Emma took it well (at least, he thinks). Emma probably felt left out in all that action. It's understandable... We departed our ways, but not before Emma took a blinding photo of Sam 😊😂 it's like he didn't have enough light in the first place 😜
Stay tuned for more GoodGym adventure...
