A new start and an old destination

Last night, 16 of us met up in high excitement as we had a shiny new meeting place to hang out at, in Papa’s Park. General congratulations were also in order as Rebecca promoted James to her “Director of Directions” and he commenced his new role with the important task of leading us to Myatt's Fields.

We ran a flawlessly direct route of 1 mile over to see the very lovely and utterly dreamy Guy from Streetscape and divided ourselves into 3 rotating groups – one which helped break up plant pots for drainage, one which completed some good old fashioned heavy lifting and the final group went off to enjoy/endure circuits with Rebecca.

Circuits consisted of burpees, press ups, jumps squats and planks, all interspersed with little sprints to break up the pain. I thought I might be sick at one point. Thankfully, sunset fell upon us and some of those of us who were REALLY, REALLY SUFFERING were less visible than usual to Rebecca’s hawk like vision.

After about 40 mins at Myatt's Fields, the Director of Directions led us back to Papa’s Park, where we were cheered on like champions by a lady in a doorway screaming “RUN, FORREST, RUN!”. A great evening all round.
