A little less conversation...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

Jean-Christophe and I met outside Ms M's flat ready for a bit of furniture shifting and after navigating the somewhat complicated entry system, we were shown up to Ms M's by one of the live in carers. Ms M was still in hospital but needed some furniture moving to allow a hospital bed to be installed into her bedroom. The carer indicated the wardrobe was the main item that needed moving, from one side of the room to the other - and then left us to it.
The first thing we did was to check whether there were items in the wardrobe, which of course there were and after an initial attempt to move the wardrobe with it fully loaded (making zero progress - and concerned about breaking the frame...) we took the rails out with the clothes still hanging and put them in the sitting room and emptied the rest into the hallway.
Second attempt saw us able to shift inch by inch the wardrobe across the carpet to create the required space for the hospital bed. After consulting with the carer that we'd done what was required we rehung the clothes rails and returned the various other items back inside and asked if anything else needed relocating.
The carer said that we'd successfully completed the task and left us to tidy up and shut the door. As we were doing this we noticed Ms M is clearly an Elvis fan, so it would be remiss of us not to sign off this report without saying "Thank you, Thank you very much" Ms M for allowing us to see your amazing collection of The King memorabilia...uh huh huh.
