A great day to hit 50! 🥳
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Thursday, 1st of April 2021
This mission was lovely all round - I got to take a half-hour break from work to swing by the pharmacy for Mr J. After a quick stop at Boots, I got another 10 minutes of basking in the sunshine and cherry blossoms whilst heading up to Mr J’s flat to drop off his meds. Another good deed done and dusted!
After what feels like a lifetime since I started volunteering with Goodgym, I’ve finally hit 50 missions. Volunteering has evolved in ways I never thought it would as a result of the pandemic - but I genuinely enjoy each and every mission I do. I’ve met some truly wonderful people, and have gained the confidence to do missions that I never thought I’d be comfortable doing in the beginning; Goodgym has helped me grow a lot. In a time of such uncertainty and hardship for many, it’s incredibly rewarding to feel like I am able to give a little bit back and help those who need it.
Goodgym milestones are usually accompanied by cake, but as this was a solo mission I think I’ll have to make my own!! I’m looking forward to sharing it with the wonderful Hammersmith & Fulham crew very soon. 🍰 🥰
