It may started out chilly but we soon warmed up on our assigned tasks this morning.
The main objective was to widen out the path into the orchard. David, Sarah and Jason got stuck in with forks and spades, unearthing bramble roots and then turning over the earth to try and maintain the clearing they had created.
Meanwhile, Richard and Danica worked further down in the orchard using shears and loppers to clear brambles around two newly planted trees.
In what seemed like no time at all we had spent a productive hour at our tasks and were rewarded with hot drinks served from the back of the car by Peter!
