Mission

A bramble ramble at Miss B's

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.

Sam and I arrived bang on time and were greeted by the lovely Miss B at her front door. We quickly found the gardening tools, scoped what we wanted to achieve and got to it!

After hacking through the initial jungle ( Sam did his best Indiana Jones impression!), we could get to the rest of the garden. The grass was too wet to mow so we focussed on clearing the brambles against the house and clearing the garden path of weeds, leaves and overgrown bushes.

Whilst Sam was busy hacking away, I undertook a bonus task for Miss B and cleared hundreds of old newspapers piled up in her yard. After several shuttles from the back to the front of the house, I managed to fill her two wheelie bins full of rubbish!

We completed everything we set out to do, and more, in just over an hour. With the grass to cut (and yes more newspaper to remove!) I have a feeling GoodGym will be back there soon.

Miss B was delighted at how much we'd achieved. She had company calling later that day so was pleased the garden was looking a lot tidier, in time for their arrival.

Mission accomplished!
