** Global Running Day 2024**

This evening we had four GoodGym Members turn up to the leisure centre for a group run around Woking Park. We had our very own mascot in the form of Adam to cheer us on before the start and then went on to begin our 5K target for the evening. Wayne and Jameswere at the vanguard with Kirsty and Nadia behind forming an orderly quad. James, the key master of Woking, helped us gain access to the pavilion to place our belongings, including Nadia rain jacket which thankfully turned out to be a great decision given the lovely warm evening we had. Before we knew it, we were halfway round and with great encouragement from Kirsty we were on the homestretch. Wayne peeled off just before the end and James Kirsty and Nadia continued to the 5K mark and a little beyond as a cool down. As always, great conversation was had. We even got talking about running shoes, which featured a nice little French word, ombré 🇫🇷, in homage to Anne and to pretend we are chic 😉. As the ombré closed in, we bid our goodbyes and look forward to our task and party 🎉 next week.

This Sunday its the 7th Birthday for Junior Park Run, James will be the run director and there will be plenty of cake 🍰
