300 not out
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.
- Sunday, 8th of May 2022
After doing our garden yesterday today we headed to Mr L who needed help with weeding his garden, took the scenic route via West Ham Park which had a game of cricket underway.
Mr L showed us out to his garden and the tools he had ready for us,he reappeared a few minutes later asking us to leave a shrub but was happy for the rest to be cleared.
We decided to do half the garden each and took the decision to removed the largest weeds as we knew we would not have time to completely clean everything.
Mr L’s carer arrived and we were very grateful for the offer of a cup of tea 😊.
Time passed so quick and was still a large area to be cleared so a trim of the over hanging stems to ensure Mr L can get into his greenhouse before another session can be arranged to complete the mission.
A steady walk home with a stop at Forest Lane Park to stop, breathe and to raise latte to Kevin's 300th good deed.
Further 300 celebrations at Wednesday group run….I can promise cake
