It's not often we have a group run and it absolutely pours it down but last night the heavens opened on us! We're a tough bunch when it comes to the weather and we bravely stepped out from the warmth of Glass Mill to head across the borough to do good.
Last night's task was to clear the remaining leaves that were scattered across the garden, clear any litter that we found and fill the raised beds with soil.
We saved the gardening team hours and hours of work that now means that they can start growing vegetables and not have to worry about the time and manpower it would take to fill the raised beds.
It was soon time to begin our cross borough run home and numbers dwindled as cold runners picked the shortest route home until it was just the 4 of us at Glass Mill.
Thanks to Simone for braving the cold and rain to allow us access to the space.
Next week we're heading to the Tiny Forest in Ladywell Fields to shift the woodchip.
