Help create better, brighter green spaces for everyone
Location

Date and time
14:00 - 15:00What is a Day of Action?
Sometimes, there are parks that need a little extra care from the Nottingham Green Guardians, but fall outside our core priorities or long-term commitments. Even so, we recognise the huge value these spaces bring to their communities, for both residents and wildlife. That’s where our Days of Action come in: one dedicated day to make as big an impact as possible.
These special sessions can include:
Planting bulbs, trees, and shrubs to bring colour and life 🌸🌳
Litter picking and graffiti removal 🧹
General maintenance tasks to keep spaces welcoming and safe ✨
Each Day of Action is unique, but they all share the same goal; creating better, brighter green spaces for everyone. Sessions are ranger-led, often joined by parks colleagues, external groups, and sometimes even CPO's, all working together with a shared passion for improvement.
📅 Next Day of Action: Victoria Park, Sneinton (opposite the library) Thursday 11th December, 10am–2pm
Come along! Even if just for an hour to help us plant bulbs and make site improvements. 🥾 Please wear sturdy footwear, and we’ll provide hot drinks and biscuits to keep you going! ☕🍪
There may not be a member of the Nottingham GoodGym Taskforce at this session. The session is organised by the Nottingham Green Guardians. If anyone would like to take some photos and write a short report that would be appreciated.
