Exeter Community Fridge
As above. We need volunteers to pick up surplus food from designated businesses and drop it off at the Community Fridge. Quantities of food can vary but we will aim to match individual volunteers to particular pick-ups. Pick-ups are usually in the morning and the fridge is open during library opening hours. We are primarily a sustainability initiative.

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

The task today is all about reducing food waste in the city.

We will be collecting foilod from nearby shops (well within walking distance) and taking it to the community fridge in Exeter Library for anyone to help themselves.

Food items will typically be fruit, veg and bakery items - no heavy or unnecessary lifting involved at all as we can always make multiple trips.

The collection of donations can be done individually or as a group, we’ll co-ordinate in the morning so you know which supermarket to go.

Currently we collect from: Co-Op (Queen Street) Co-Op (Belgrave Road) Waitrose (Heavitree Road)

Please bring a backpack/trolley/carrier bags, and please consider bringing gloves.

How are you getting there?
