The William Hobbayne CharityEvery January, we celebrate Scotland's most beloved poet Robert Burns - Rabbie Burns - he's the man who wrote Auld Lang Syne. This year marks the 265th anniversary of his birth.
We've been asked to help out with the annual William Hobbayne Centre Burns Night celebration in Hanwell. It's an evening that promises to be loads of fun, with traditional dancing, live music and a Burns supper. If you've never heard the Address to a Haggis, you're welcome to come earlier to the centre (see the details of the supper serving task below at 19:45).
The task: GoodGym volunteers are needed to wash and dry dishes, clean up the tables and put them away after the supper.
If you fancy adding a nod to Scotland in what you wear, that'd be most appropriate (think tartan!). Volunteers who wish to come earlier for the dinner will be offered a table and a complimentary traditional Burns supper - haggis, neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes) - see the tasks below.
There are other two tasks GoodGymers can attend on the day:
This is an important annual get-together for the local community in Hanwell and, by helping out, you'll make it a wonderful night for all - come and join in!
